Education and public schools Educational inequality  is the unequal distribution of academic resources, including but not limited to; school funding, qualified and experienced teachers, books, and technologies to socially excluded  communities . These communities tend to be historically disadvantaged and oppressed. More times than not, individuals belonging to these  marginalized  groups are also denied access to the schools with abundant resources. Inequality leads to major differences in the educational success or efficiency of these individuals and ultimately suppresses  social  and  economic mobility . In Chile the municipalization, promoted by the dictatorship from 1986, was a great dynamiter of public education. The municipalities were forced to support the educational centers with municipal budgets and state subsidies. The effect was immediate: the richest areas were strengthened, attracting -in addition- the best students, while the po...

As you know I am currently studying food engineering, so I would like to work as a food engineering. I imagine working in some important laboratory of some company that is engaged in food production. I always liked being in the laboratories, because I think it's very fun and interesting what is done there. But I'd love to travel a lot, too. I understand that what is more traveling in this jobis to go to conferences, trainings or to go to perfection at another foreing university.  Whit regard to pay, this is low for the work we have to do. Talking one day with a teacher who also studied food engineering, he also told me his discomfort whit regard to wages, as it is still difficult for companies to what we do, but I hope that in the not too distant future we can have a much better salary. Well, I really like what I'm studying, it's very entertaining and it also has its degree of difficulty that makes one stay interested in the career. I hope that in the future it will no...

Hello! As post four is on a free subject I will talk to you about the pet I just adopted. I have never had a pet in my life because the oppotunity has never been give, since we have to take care of them very much and spend enough time on it that we did not have, but just today we decided to adopt a kitten, change his life and give im much love. Whith my family we do not know much about how to take care of a kitten, especially a small one, since the one we adopt is two months old but I have been investigating and learning everything that should be given to them, every thin you have to take to the vet, the best meals, etc. This has us all very enthusiastic, especially my little brothers.  Reference photo Now whit my family we are seeing where to buy him his things like the bed, the sander and the food so that when I arrived (I forgot to mention that he still does not get to our house) he has his space ready and is comfortable. Well, we are already counting the days so that our ...

Hi everyone, I study food engineering. I entered the race in 2018 when I was 18 years old. I'll tell you that at first I wasn't sure if this was what I wanted to study, since I was very small and I didn´t know my tastes, but when I started investigating I realized how interesting it was, in addition to being very new, and once inside I started to see how important food engineers are in the food industry.  I'll tell you a little bit about this career. The food engineer has knowledge of quality control management, nutritional value of food, modern conservation, storage and transport techniques, etc. That's why we have a great field of work to work, although we still can't make salaries good.  For me the benefit of studying this career is that you mix physics, chemistry and mathematics with food, so much is what one learns and nourishes knowledge, which I love. It is also very interesting to learn from food. I hope that we can return to face-to-face classes soon, as it...

The vacation that I liked the most and I remember as if I were yesterday jaja, is when I went to Coquimbo in 2017. Three years have passed since that trip, with which I did with my family: my parents, , my brother and my sister. We travelled by car so it took us several hours to get to the destination. What I like to remember most is the path since the landscape was very beautiful. I remember that reaching the fourth region there were giant wind energy fields, it was impressive how high those "machines" were to call it in some way. We stayed in Coquimbo near the beach La Herradura but we were not only there, we went to La Serena, Guanaqueros, Totoralillo, among others. I think what made this trip more special was that we decided to go to know El valle del Elqui. The trip was long but it was worth it because it was all very nice. We met many beautiful places and it was very entertaining. I'd repeat it again!
