Hi everyone, I study food engineering. I entered the race in 2018 when I was 18 years old. I'll tell you that at first I wasn't sure if this was what I wanted to study, since I was very small and I didn´t know my tastes, but when I started investigating I realized how interesting it was, in addition to being very new, and once inside I started to see how important food engineers are in the food industry.
I'll tell you a little bit about this career. The food engineer has knowledge of quality control management, nutritional value of food, modern conservation, storage and transport techniques, etc. That's why we have a great field of work to work, although we still can't make salaries good.
For me the benefit of studying this career is that you mix physics, chemistry and mathematics with food, so much is what one learns and nourishes knowledge, which I love. It is also very interesting to learn from food.
I hope that we can return to face-to-face classes soon, as it is much more fun to learn from the classroom than from a computer. Furthermore, it's very strange to go to the labs and be able to talk to the teachers about the same degree.
